Pimping Out My Stroller(s) for Disney
Going to Disney with a toddler does not seem like an easy feat, but it is doable, especially with the right stroller. We did a lot of research beforehand to make sure that we weren’t forgetting anything but man, we needed to dedicate a whole blog to strollers!
Disney has requirements for all strollers ”(Strollers must be 31” (79cm) wide and 52” (132cm) long or smaller. As a reminder, wagons are not permitted in our parks. Stroller wagons will also no longer be permitted. Loose and dry ice is not permitted in our parks.” for each stroller to get into Disney. Now the stroller we ended up taking with us to the parks, isn’t the stroller that we ended up using….
We had decided months in advance that we would be taking the Mockingbird stroller with us to the airport. We planned to use multiple accessories to get us through the trip. See below!
Florida’s weather can be unpredictable and we wanted to make sure that she stayed warm and dry in case of a rain shower.
You can guarantee that I will be drinking 10 million iced coffees to get through life with a toddler on vacation. This drink carrier is a must for you mom/dad.
This is an easy gadget to have for snacking and quick-service dining. It’s the best thing to have when eating on the move and it saves so much time!
As much as we love our mockingbird, the stroller was recalled due to some missing parts less than a week before our trip. Yes, you read that right… All of our planning went out the window scrambling to find a stroller to take its place. Don’t worry, you can still use this stroller, it has since been fixed and they provided all current owners with a part to fix it. But at the time, we spent hours researching online, reading reviews, and checking store availability.
Picking the right stroller is like shopping for a car these days. Seriously.
After multiple trips to various stores and a canceled online order, we finally found the Uppa Baby Minu. I actually knew about this one because it was the same one that Meghan Trainor took with her on their family’s trip to Disneyland. She raved about it, I have to brag about it a little as well because it ended up being an INCREDIBLE Option. I almost like it better than my Mockingbird… GASP.
The Uppa Baby was super easy to set up and collapse, even with only one hand. Not to mention the PERFECT airport stroller. It even fits small enough to be used as a carry-on. It was perfect for maneuvering through the crowds. We bought an attachment for her snacks and water bottle which was super helpful for on-the-go snack time.
One of the more important things we were looking for in a stroller was that it allowed Olive to sit up straight and see everything at the parks. But it also was great as it helped us be able to lay down for nap time on the go. Olive had her first-ever stroller nap at Magic Kingdom which was definitely a win!
The mockingbird is a still great and versatile option for traveling once you have that missing piece. I have to say that the Uppa Baby is my favorite stroller of all time. My only wish was that it could maneuver through terrain easier. But for Disney World, it worked perfectly fine, even for travel around the airport.
I have both of these strollers and either of these will work PERFECT for your next trip to Disney World.
